2024 Dacia Duster first look: the best budget SUV?
A close-up look at the all-new Dacia Duster, and some off-roading, too.
The new Dacia Duster has gone upmarket - and yet it still costs less than £19k.
So does this mean it can add the much pricier Land Rover Discovery Sport to its list of natural rivals, such as the MG ZS and Skoda Karoq?
To find out, Sam Sheehan drives the 4x2 and 4x4 versions of Dacia's new Duster, in their respective natural habitats...
Priced from £18,745 and available in petrol, hybrid and bi-fuel forms, the 2024 Dacia Duster promises to build on the fantastic versatility and pluckiness of its top-selling predecessor, with a sprinkling of extra style and technology across its base.
Interestingly, the outgoing Duster sold best in hybrid form (60% of UK sales), which is why our review starts with the new Duster Hybrid model.
But the Duster's fame across Europe is also owed to its excellent off-road capabilities, and the new 4x4 model evolves the technical base of its predecessor, and makes use of upgraded electronics for even more mountain goat-aping abilities.
