Watch: New Vauxhall Grandland Electric – the family EV to buy in 2026?

The Vauxhall Grandland has been refreshed, with an entirely new look, along with hybrid and fully electric powertrains.

We wanted to take the Grandland Electric for a proper spin to see how it behaves in the real world and whether it's better than the BYDs and JAECOOs of the world.

Join Sam Sheehan as he gets behind the wheel of Vauxhall's large electric SUV.

How much is the Vauxhall Grandland Electric?

The Vauxhall Grandland Electric starts at £36,955 for the Design trim, and even the higher-spec GS and Ultimate trims fall under £40,000.

This makes it competitively priced against rivals such as the Peugeot e-3008 and Škoda Enyaq.

Vauxhall Grandland Electric specs:

  • 325-mile range

  • 73kWh battery

  • 160kW max charging speed (0 to 80% in 26min)

  • 213hp

  • 0-62mph in as little as 6.1 seconds (4.1 seconds quicker than a hybrid Grandland)

  • 550-litre boot

Should you buy a Vauxhall Grandland Electric?

The Vauxhall Grandland Electric makes for a great electric family car if you favour a long range, practicality and good value (especially for a used Grandland).

It's got some tough competition, but if you favour the Vauxhall brand, it's hard to ignore.
