The all-new, all-electric Mercedes CLA is the first model on the brand's new platform built for hybrid and electric powertrains – what this means for you is that you get some serious electric range.

The EQS is particularly impressive when it comes to tech, offering the same Hyperscreen we mentioned for the EQE. You also get the same heads-up display as in the S-Class models, plus ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice control.

Speed and power are both impressive with the EQS, as is the range – you can expect to cover up to 481 miles on a single charge of the EQS 450+.

This does mean it takes longer to charge up, however – about 17 hours from flat to full using a 7kW charger. Thankfully, regular top-ups make lighter work of keeping on top of charge.
