Citroen C3 Tax Bands

Road tax prices in the UK depend on the car you choose and the year it was registered.

If you buy a Citroen C3 that was registered on or before 1 April 2017, road tax for the first year depends on the vehicle excise duty (VED) band it was placed into. These are the standard, premium and zero bands and based on CO2 emissions.

From the second year onwards, tax is based on a standard rate (£190 per year for the 2024/25 financial year), with a £10 discount for hybrids.

Electric cars are currently free to tax until 2025.

Road tax costs in your Citroen C3 will depend on the model you choose, and the bracket it falls into.

A C3 from before 2017 is likely to be cheapest to insure, for example the Touch PureTech 68 and 82 models can be just £20 a year to tax.

Citroen C3 road tax for models after the 2017 mark typically sits at the standard £190 rate.
