Does Kia have a hybrid?
Hybrid vehicles have been steering the automotive industry in a new direction – but does the trusted Kia brand have a hybrid alternative?
With the drive to Net Zero, which will see the sale of new petrol and diesel cars banned from 1 January 2035, automotive brands are continuing to innovate and offer electric and hybrid alternatives to its leading models.
Kia is no different, adding a raft of sustainable powertrains to its much-loved range of hatchbacks, estates, SUVs and MPVs.
The South Korean brand has grown in the UK market off the back of a reputation of safe and reliable cars, with its industry-leading seven-year warranties as standard on new cars.
Recent iterations of its range of cars boast a daring design with plenty of tech that wouldn’t look out of place in luxury brands.
You’re probably familiar with the names of models in Kia's range, including:
Kia EV6
But does Kia have a hybrid?
Does Kia make hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars?
A popular car manufacturer that prides itself on innovation is going to offer hybrid alternatives – in fact, Kia offers five models with hybrid options in the UK.
Kia is a brand that prides itself on its innovative designs, and its success is evident by its performance in the prestigious Red Dot Design Awards.
In 2023, Kia won the Red Dot design award in the 'Product Design' category for its Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).
That award was the 28th Red Dot awarded to a Kia model since 2009. In 2022, the EV6 was crowned ‘Best of the Best’, while the Kia Sorento also won the Red Dot Award in 2021.
Hybrids are perfect for those who want a car with eco-credentials but still require an internal combustion engine for longer trips.
Whether you’re looking for the best small SUV with a handy hybrid option or the best estate car for dogs, Kia has got you covered.
