Jaguar made the F-PACE from 2016 to 2024, and in that time made many different models and trims, but it’s the former everyone slips up on.

Jaguar F-PACE R-Sport

The R-Sport is the F-PACE spec that’s right in the middle, offering the best of both worlds.

As standard, it gets 19-inch alloy wheels, an R-Sport exterior body kit for a more aggressive look, J-shaped LED daytime running lights, an R-Sport-branded steering wheel and even proper aluminium trims and chrome gearshift paddles.

This makes it a well-rounded model that’s going to be suitable for most people.

Jaguar F-PACE HSE

The term ‘HSE’ with all Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) products stands for ‘High Specification Equipment’, so it’s safe to say this model comes loaded to the brim with features.

This spec has standard features such as plush Windsor leather seats, Meridian sound system and 16-way adjustable heated and ventilated massage seats.

These are usually optional extras on all other F-PACE models, so you pay the premium to have these.

Jaguar F-PACE R-Dynamic S

The benefit of the R-Dynamic S kit is a sportier look without proper sporty credentials, which makes them cheaper to insure and often easier to drive.

This pack adds a sportier look with a slight body kit and larger alloy wheels. The interior isn’t forgotten about either, with options such as an R-Dynamic-branded leather steering wheel, 30 colour-changing ambient lighting and even metal sports pedals.

It’s a great model to consider if you want the look without the added running costs and initial purchase cost.

Jaguar F-PACE Chequered Flag

What the Chequered Flag trim does is take the R Sport as its base and build on it, replacing the chrome with black elements, offering the option of 22-inch wheels and adding three exterior colours – Yulong White, Santorini Black and Eiger Grey.

It’s essentially the thinking person’s R Sport because it gets all the benefits but with a cooler name and some flashy extras.

Jaguar F-PACE P400e

The P400e is the plug-in hybrid in the range, offering up to 33 miles of range on electric power alone.

This makes it ideal for those living in and around cities and towns, meaning you can flick it into electric mode and drive around in guilt-free silence.

While it may weigh more than other F-PACEs because of its extra batteries from the hybrid system, it makes up for it with 400hp.

Jaguar F-PACE SVR

Sitting at the top of the range is the F-PACE SVR – a 5.0-litre supercharged V8-powered brutish SUV that even has some supercars quivering in its wake.

Other than its incredible engine, the SVR also gets tuned suspension, performance seats, a smattering of carbon fibre and quad exhaust pipes for a more aggressive look (and most importantly, sound).

If you fancy spending a bit more cash and want to make use of the whole 550hp, then you can’t go wrong with the F-PACE SVR.
