How big is the Renault Captur's boot space?

Renault has truly captured us with its Captur, but how much can the boot hold?

article hero

The Renault Captur is a classic SUV that's a favourite among UK drivers.

From its smooth handling to its tech-filled interior, the Renault Captur has something for everyone.

The boot space will vary depending on which fuel source you want to go for, but you'll have plenty of options to choose from.

What are the Renault Captur's boot dimensions?

Finding the right car for you not only depends on how it's powered, but also the size of the boot you can get.

Whether you're heading off on a road trip with your family or looking to lug around plenty of suitcases solo, you’ll need something different.

Renault Captur petrol and diesel dimensions:

  • Max. boot space with seats up: 392l

  • Max. boot space with seats down: 1,275l

Renault Captur plug-in hybrid dimensions:

  • Max. boot space with seats up: 261l

  • Max. boot space with seats down: 1,118l

Renault Captur full hybrid dimensions:

  • Max. boot space with seats up: 362l

  • Max. boot space with seats down: 1,149l

If you opt for a fully-electric Captur, you'll have less boot space. This isn’t to say it is small, however, and if you need more space you can simply fold the rear seats down.

How big is a Renault Captur's boot?

Depending on your engine fuel source, the boot size of your Renault Captur will vary, from the 392 litres of the petrol and diesel models to the slightly smaller 261 litres of the plug-in hybrid.

With the seats down, you can easily fit wheelchairs or prams into your Renault Captur, and the 60/40 split makes packing your car that much easier when there aren’t passengers in the back.

With up to 1,275 litres to play with, you don’t have to worry about whether your shopping or multiple large suitcases will fit.

How many seats are there in a Renault Captur?

The Renault Captur has five comfortable seats, and due to the width of the car, you won’t have to worry about brushing against your passengers when trying to change gears.

People above six foot can also ride in comfort thanks to the spacious cabin that provides plenty of headroom and legroom.

It's also worth noting that the Captur's party trick – sliding rear seats – means you can opt for less legroom and more boot storage or vice versa, depending on the height of the passengers in the back.
