Internal Combustion Engine (ICE)
What is meant by an internal combustion engine?
An internal combustion engine (ICE) is the type of engine that is conventionally found in a car. It uses a combustible fuel – usually petrol or diesel – which is mixed with air in the engine's cylinder. Under pressure from a piston, the mixture ignites hundreds of time every minute, releasing energy that is then used to propel the car forward. Vroom, vroom!
